It is imperative for leaders to drive positive outcomes in even the most challenging discussions. This means that in today’s dynamic work environment, the ability to navigate challenging conversations with confidence and empathy is crucial for effective leadership. This session was therefore designed to provide leaders with the basic tools and techniques to handle sensitive topics, manage conflict and foster open, constructive dialogues within their teams.
Scope of the workshop:
Centered around the importance of emotional intelligence in leadership, this forum will assist participants in recognizing emotional triggers and ultimately working to manage their own emotions during difficult conversations in a manner that will be conductive to good communication. Participants will:
- Recognize and address the emotional dynamics at play in difficult conversations.
- Understand how to employ active listening and empathetic communication to build trust and rapport.
- Discuss strategies for de-escalating conflict and finding common ground.
- Understand how to deliver feedback that is both candid and compassionate.
- Discuss creating a culture of transparency and mutual respect in their organization.
