Change Management
Change Management is the discipline that guides how we prepare, equip and support individuals to successfully adopt change in order to drive organizational success and outcomes.
While all changes and all individuals are unique, decades of research show there are actions that may be taken to influence people in their individual transitions.
Change management provides a structured approach for supporting the individuals in your organization to move from their own current states to their own future states.
A list of the change management services offered at the BEC is seen below:
- Change Assessments – A critical component of change management is assessing the readiness of the conditions, attitudes and resources which form a part of the change process and is integral to its success. This allows the necessary stakeholders or change agents to identify whether it is appropriate to commence the change and further identify the best approach.
- Change Strategy – A strategic approach to anything increases the probability of achieving desired results. Having a change strategy provides direction and purpose for change management plans. It defines the approach needed to manage any change and the uniqueness and possible resistance that comes with it.
- Change Sensitization – In any change there must be a change agent. Such person(s) must be enabled by providing the necessary training on various approaches toward change and managing different personalities as well as any resistance. Additionally, change sensitization extends beyond the Management Team or Change Team to those impacted. At this point, all communication must be strategic and in alignment with the desired outcome.
- Change Enablement – Similar to training, change enablement includes equipping the change agents with the resources necessary to enact change effectively. In this case, such resources are considered change tools and include but are not limited to surveys, templates, etc. Such tools will also prove useful for tracking the change process and its impact.
