Description

ESSENTIALS OF SAFETY MANAGEMENT FOR EXECUTIVES

***This is a whole-day session***

Enterprises should have exemplary Occupational Safety and Health performance to ensure the protection of all people affected by work-related activities. Employers should have systems for assessing and controlling risks aimed at preventing harm to people from work-related incidents and accidents, thereby minimising absences from work and disruption to processes, services and communities. OSH performance is key to reputation management, particularly insofar as businesses depend on their relationship with global consumers. It can affect a company’s ability to attract investment capital or even the cost of capital itself, on which jobs and wealth creation depend.

The efficient management of OSH risks is best achieved by instilling a safety culture within the organisation, adopting a preventative approach, installing effective internal training systems, applying risk management and control principles, and aligning OSH management systems with other business operations.

Participating in this session, you will learn:

• How to outline the importance of occupational safety and health for enterprises

• How to explain what is an occupational safety and health prevention policy

• The way in which to describe different types of strategies for approaching health and safety in a company

• How to explain the role of management and their specific tasks

• How to discuss principles and elements of a dynamic risk management system

Training Methods

• Power Point Presentations

• Interactive Discussions

• Group Exercises
